Despite all the big blockbusters releasing next year (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Star Wars: Episode VII etc) the film that I am most excited for is, without a doubt, The Outskirts. Well, the project has finished filming.

Filming on this began almost a month ago, on 8th July 2014, and has now finally come to a close. The 'popular crew' in the film wrapped earlier this week with other cast members having finished before, here and there, depending on their role.

But the whole project finished yesterday and Victoria Justice took to Insta and posted a pic (above) to make things official. Captioning the picture, she wrote: "That's a wrap on #OutskirtsMovie!! I had such an amazing time filming. Can't wait for you guys to see! More pics to come :) xo".

If you follow me on Twitter, then you'll know how excited I am for this film as, since shooting started, I've been keeping my followers updated on all things Outskirts: set photos, news etc. The first couple of stills from the film released last week and you can check them here.

Victoria Justice and Eden Sher lead a stellar cast of youngsters as Jodi and Mindy, two best friends. When they fall victim to an embarrassing prank, by the popular crew (led by Kick Ass 2's Claudia Lee), they decide that enough is enough. They set out uniting all the uncool kids in order to get revenge and overthrow the populars. Peter Hutchings is at the helm of the project.

The premise sounds awesome. There's drama. There's comedy. There's emotion. It's got the whole package to be a perfect must-see for all teens. Plus, the film also stars my favourite actress, Peyton List, giving me another reason to be excited for this.

The Outskirts is set to open sometime next year. Now that filming has finished on it, I wouldn't be surprised if more details are announced in the coming weeks and months. We may even get a trailer soon. Only time will tell and, remember, if any The Outskirts news arrives, we'll hve it covered here.

Here are just some behind-the-scenes pics from the set, during filming. Let me know if you're Team Popular or Team Outcast below.
