Comic-Con is well underway now and Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's R-Rtaed animated comedy, Sausage Party, screened at the annual convention, over in San Diego. To those not able to attend, don't worry as a brand-new trailer for the film was also released... in full, red-band glory.

Rogen has previously described the forthcoming film as an "R-Rated Pixar-style movie" and it will follow food items that go on an adventure in a supermarket, with the actor voicing our lead sausage Frank. The film has been many years in the making and all the early reviews/reactions seem to indicate that it's a truly outrageous, gut-bustingly funny flick. The trailers so far have certainly indicated that and here's the latest for you to check out, in all its red-band, NSFW glory:

 I was already looking forward to Sausage Party, and have been ever since it was announced - I'm a big fan of the comedic pairing of Rogen and Goldberg - but am more excited than ever after seeing that trailer. I thought the film's first red-band trailer was brilliant and the latest is just as good. The reveal is packed with lots of new footage and teases the antics taking place within the supermarket itself this time, even showing the food fighting back. It's some hilarious stuff and if the film is anywhere near as good as all the hype it has been getting suggests, we could have a real treat on our hands.

 Here's the film's official synopsis:
Life is good for all the food items that occupy the shelves at the local supermarket. Frank (Seth Rogen) the sausage, Brenda (Kristen Wiig) the hot dog bun, Teresa Taco (Salma Hayek) and Sammy Bagel Jr. (Edward Norton) can’t wait to go home with a happy customer. Soon, their world comes crashing down as poor Frank learns the horrifying truth that he will eventually become a meal. After warning his pals about their similar fate, the panicked perishables devise a plan to escape from their human enemies.
With Greg Tiernan and Conran Vernon at the helm, and starring the voice talents of Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Michael Cera, Paul Rudd, Bill Hader, James Franco, Craig Robinson and Salma Hayek, Sausage Party opens on August 12th, 2016.
