After Variety Fair offered us our first tease of the future of the MCU, and the up and coming, Avengers: Infinity War, the hype has train has been accelerating for the first trailer. And it is FINALLY here. Accompanied by a poster too!

Prepare yourselves, folks, because here it is:

Infinity War will follow Black Panther as the studio's second of three releases next year (coming off of an incredible 2017, with all 3 of their films this past year proving to be great) and it promises to be the biggest, most exciting entry into the MCU canon yet. We were promised huge things, and this trailer certainly teases just that;whilst it doesn't give a whole lot away, it shows us enough of the colossal blockbuster and epic team-ups and world destruction that lies ahead for our eponymous team as they face their biggest foe yet in Josh Brolin's Thanos... and I found my jaw dropped on multiple occasions.
Introduced back in 2012's The Avengers, he has been patiently waiting for his moment and it's coming next Summer and Infinity War will bring together pretty much every major hero we've seen in the MCU up until this point, and probably even more, to team together and face him off in a film that will deliver the fanboy chills. As a lover of all things superheroes and Marvel, I am awaiting this with a huge childlike grin on my face. That trailer was epic and cool and did just enough to have me locked in. And the teaser poster accompanying the reveal (that was 'accidentally' revealed by Tom Holland yesterday in an Instagram live video) is very stylish. I like that it keeps in line with the other teaser poster styles for both prior Avengers films. April, you can't come soon enough!

Here's the film's synopsis:
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment - the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
With Joe and Anthony Russo at the helm, and starring the likes of (deep breath now, here we go), Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Rudd and Josh Brolin - alongside LOADS more - Avengers: Infinity War is coming to the U.K on April 27th, 2018 before hitting U.S screens a week later on May 4th, 2018.
