'Star Wars: Episode VII' Gets Official Title

We've heard of Star Wars Episode VII: Rise of the Jedi, Star Wars Episode VII: Return of the Sith, Star Wars Episode VII: The Ancient Evil and LOTS of others. However, according to Star Wars' official Twitter page, the film will actually be called... wait for it... Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!! Awesome!!!
There are two reasons that lead to why we're getting the title now! Firstly, production wrapped on the film earlier this week (there was a cool celebration to, well, celebrate) and they decided to just announce the title. Secondly, 2014 is coming to a close very soon and rumour has it that we're getting a teaser trailer come 2015 so, of course, we'll need an official title.
Personally, I think the title is AWESOME and there's just something exciting about finally having it official. It sounds cool. It symbolises that soon we'll have the most anticipated film ever on our hands - this just marking it all real. It's also the first time 'The Force' has been in a Star Wars film plus it sticks to the typical 3-word subtitle we're used to for these films.

So, what exactly does this title mean? Well, it's kind of hard to say exactly. We don't have any plot details - other than loads of rumour rubbish - so we don't quite know what the title is referring to yet. But we can speculate. Well, the end of Return of the Jedi suggested that Luke Skywaler was the last Jedi remaining. Of course, to start a new trilogy, you're going to need more of them so the force awakening marks the awakening of the franchise, after a long time, but also the awakening of, well, the Force as a new Jedi ensemble is assembled, taught and ready to wield The Force!
Where we have Jedis, though, we're likely to have a Dark Side chasing after them too and The Force Awakens can also refer to the rise of a new antagonist (or antagonist army) and, most likely, they'll be using The Force too, except just the darker side of it. I mean, after all, you can't have a Star Wars film without The Force and it's going to awaken soon enough - whatever it may mean - and it'll rise again.
It's pretty deep and I'm just waffling on, not making any sense - my fanboy instincts have taken over - so don't think about it too much. All shall be revealed soon enough. Just savour the new title and its treatment.
