Just last week, Jimmy Kimmel Live! debuted the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War (watch that here) and now he's debuting the new trailer for the other major 2016 release that will put iconic heroes together - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - and it's pretty epic.

For a few hours last week, the Civil War trailer managed to get the industry thinking about anything other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens for a while, and the new Batman v Superman trailer is doing the same this week. The massively anticipated blockbuster is set to arrive in just over three months time and, this morning, the latest trailer for the film has made its way online and it's packed full of new footage and glory and it's awesome. Where the other two trailers we've seen focus solely on setting up the big "gladiator match" - as Jesse Eisenberg mentions it as - this latest trailer gives us a lot more of the character interaction and the actual film itself.

With 3 minutes of footage to sink your teeth into, this may be the most exciting Batman v Superman trailer yet - for a number of reasons. Not only do we get to see more of the confrontation between Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor but we're also introduced to a DC Comics villain, Doomsday, who makes an appearance towards the end of the trailer. But, the money shot comes after that when both our eponymous heroes, along with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, are standing side-by-side to take him on. So this film will surely pit our heroes against one another but it will also see them come together for a greater purpose too. My one problem with this reveal, perhaps, is that, despite being exciting and epic, it shows us too much of the film. We pretty much know the story and in the order too.

And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
With Zack Snyder at the helm and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, Scoot McNairy, Amy Adams and more, Dawn of Justice will arrive on March 25th 2016.
