The brilliant Joel and Ethan Coen have written another film. And it's directed by George Clooney. And it has an all-star cast. Aren't sold yet? Well, the new trailer for Suburbicon is here to convince you to go see this film.

Okay. This film looks great. For starters, I love the work of the Coen Brothers - as most do, because they just make great cinema - and this looks like typical, stellar Coens. Their trademark sharp writing and always-hilarious black comedy is on full display here which is very promising. The plot follows Matt Damon's Gardner Lodge who finds himself entangled in the town's criminal and corrupt doings but, aside from this, the trailers don't give much away which I love. But we get enough brilliant humour and just crazy antics teased here to make this one feel very original and one to be quite excited for.

 Here's the film's official synopsis:
‘Suburbicon’ is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns… the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. Directed by George Clooney, and written by George Clooney, Grant Heslov and the Coen Brothers, Suburbicon is this Autumn’s much-anticipated dark comedy, with a fantastic cast also including Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac and newcomer Noah Jupe.
With George Clooney at the helm, and starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Noah Jupe, and Oscar Isaac, Suburbicon opens overseas on October 27th, 2017, before getting here in the UK on November 24th.
