A24 have had quite the year so far, and things continue looking up for them as the first trailer for Sean Baker's heartbreaking Cannes hit The Florida Project arrives.

Check out the trailer below, which A24 debuted on Youtube earlier this afternoon:

2017 is looking great for A24. Hot off their Oscar win for Moonlight, the studio recently released the unequivocal A Ghost Story and have a whole slew of promising films set to arrive later this year: Good Time; Woodshock, The Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Disaster Artist - amongst plenty of others. And, The Florida Project looks like another winner too. In typical A24 fashion, this trailer is exquisite and beautiful and exactly what you'll get from the film itself.

Sean Baker, hot off the stunning Tangerine, tells another very human story, this time focusing on the wonders of childhood. Willem Dafoe stars as the manager of a Florida motel called The Magic Castle, whose inhabitants include the 6-year-old Moonee and her friends and her struggling mother. We get to see the difficult life suffered by the adults through the eyes of an innocuous, adventurous little girl and it looks as brilliant and heartbreaking as you'd expect from Baker and the genius of an A24 film. Given that I am still reeling from A Ghost Story, and Moonlight was one of the best films of the year too, I will take anything coming out of A24 right now and this looks like one not to miss.

With Sean Baker at the helm, and starring Brooklynn Prince, Valeria Cotto, Bria Vinnaite, and Willem Dafoe, The Florida Project arrives overseas on October 6th, 2017, before hitting the U.K a few months later, on January 12h, 2018.
