Netflix debuted the first trailer for the forthcoming second season to their beloved Marvel series this afternoon, and it's embedded below. Check it out:
The first season of Jessica Jones, which released back in 2015, is perhaps my favourite season from all of the Netflix/Marvel shows and seasons released thus far. It was dark, gritty, complex and a brilliant character study with the ace Krysten Ritter and David Tennant dynamic at its core. Ritter was also my favourite part of last year's The Defenders, so I think Netflix just seem to be doing well with the character of Jessica Jones in general, and season two looks great.
The trailer is light on plot details but it does tease a lot of mystery and deception lies ahead for Jones and her friends and it shows enough intriguing elements and set-pieces to have me hungry for more. What I loved about the first season was just how personal and dark a story it was for our eponymous hero and season 2 looks to be continuing that and carrying it forth into its new story. The second season is available to stream next month.
