Mary Shelley's classic horror novel Frankenstein has seen many adaptions and retellings over the years. The latest take on the iconic story about a mad scientist that creates a monster stars James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe and has received some first trailer and posters.

Fox have debuted the first trailers for the film online and, whilst it looks like a very generic monster movie, they're not too bad. There's both an International trailer and a UK one. The visuals and story seem to be good but its the relationship between Frankenstein and his trusty associate Igor that looks to be the big focus, and both McAvoy and Radcliffe sold that pretty hard at Comic-con last month too. The reveals certainly has me intrigued, to say the least. Here's to hoping for a fresh, atypical Frankenstein film with this one - we certainly see hints to that in the trailers.

Accompanying the reveal, two first posters for the forthcoming picture have also been unveiled - one to accompany the UK trailer and one for the International reveal. McAvoy and Radcliffe feature front and center in both and they have a nice, dark tone to them. The actors look badass and stylish and fit right in the time and era of this film. Captioned "Discover the origin on the monster and his creation" and "Meet your makers", respectively, it's hard to deny that the one-sheets look pretty cool - or, should I say, alive.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in a dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale. Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.
With Paul McGuigan at the helm, and starring James McAvoy, Daniel Radcliffe, Andrew Scott, Jessica Brown Findlay and Freddie Fox, Victor Frankenstein hit the U.S on November 25th, 2015 before opening here in the UK on December 4th, 2015.
