One of last year's biggest surprise hits was Matthew Vaughn's spy flick, Kingsman: The Secret Service. The film came out of nowhere and was a huge success at the box-office, not to mention critically too. Now, whilst details surrounding its follow-up, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, are slim, a very interesting teaser poster for the film has been revealed.
Now, I suggest that if you haven't seen Kingsman yet (if you haven't then what are you waiting for?) or want to know nothing at all about The Golden Circle - even though the marketing campaign clearly aren't trying to keep this under wraps - then turn back now because spoilers for the first film and very minor, potential spoilers (?) for the sequel lie ahead. You have been warned...
... still here? Okay, good. Well, star of the Kingsman franchise, Taron Egerton, took to Twitter to debut a very interesting one-sheet for The Golden Caption which hints at the return of a familiar face. The tweet can be seen below:
Just how, and to what capacity, Firth is brought back for The Golden Circle remains to be seen though but it'll be interesting to see how Vaughn tackles this. Perhaps he never actually died at the church or maybe, in some way, his character is resurrected - if this is the case, I look forward to seeing by what means this is done - or, perhaps, we could be seeing Hart through flashback or some kind of technology or something? Frankly, all we have to go by is this one-sheet so any guess is good as the next for the time being. It's hard to say as the possibilities behind Hart's returns are endless. Back when the first film released, however, Vaughn mentioned how he would like to see Firth back in a sequel were it to ever happen and, considering the character was so popular, it doesn't come as too much of a surprise that we'll most likely be seeing him back for The Golden Circle. It's a spy movie. This sort of thing happens all the time. We'll just have to wait and see how.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set to follow Eggsy and Merlin as they head over to the U.S, after the U.K Kingsman headquarters are attacked and reduced to rubble, to join their American counterparts: Statesman. Led by the slick Jack and Ginger (played by Halle Berry), Kingsman and Statesman will have to join forces to bring down Julianne Moore's antagonist Poppy who is up to no good and plotting something evil.
With Matthew Vaughn returning to the helm, and starring Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Halle Berry, Edward Holcroft and Julianne Moore, Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set to hit cinemas on June 15th, 2017.

So, as the poster reveals, it seems as though a character from the first film who we thought to be dead will be making a return and it seems as though that character is Colin Firth's Harry Hart. In the first film, Hart suffered an unfortunate fate after the infamous church scene when he was shot by Samuel L. Jackson's Valentine. However, the tortoiseshell glasses in the recent poster are clearly the ones his character wore and the quote would fit hie character so it seems very likely that the return of Colin Firth's Harry Hart in next Summer's sequel is being teased here. The actor hasn't been officially confirmed to return yet but that poster is pretty much as good a confirmation as any.A message from an old friend. #Kingsman pic.twitter.com/n4HShWktIK— Taron Egerton (@TaronEgerton) April 7, 2016
